Foraging Nettle with Our Wild Edges
£10.00
Saturday May 9th
10.00 Meet outside the Castle Hotel
At this time of year there is plenty to forage for, but we are going to do things a little differently and deep dive into just one plant! Together we will discover the story of Nettle – how our ancestors have created food, medicine and textiles from it and its role within the ecosystem. We will hunt out and ID Nettle, and use a simple practice to connect more deeply with it on an individual level to discover if it has any wisdom for us. Sharing stories of Nettle in our lives and creating new ones, one or two Nettle delights will also be available to nibble on !
We will base ourselves close to town for this workshop in the green space by the river and castle. This is a short easy walk from The Castle Hotel but does involve a set of steps. If you have any access needs, please get in touch with Becky to discuss how we can accommodate you ourwildedges@outlook.com
Please check the forecast and bring waterproofs / warm clothing / suncream as appropriate!
If the weather is poor, we have a back up indoor venue, where we will bring the outside in !
