Storytelling with Sian Cornelius, Saturday September 19th at 3.00pm
£0.00
Join Sian and her harp for an afternoon of story telling at Books at the Dragons’s Garden.
Sian has been storytelling for 15 years, the stories she tells are old Welsh myths and fairytales. ‘Llyn y fan fach’ is a particular favourite, so to tell it ‘down the road’ from Llyn y fan fach will be really special. The other story Sian will be telling is ‘Ceridwen’s story’, most people know it as ‘Taliesin’s story’. Ceridwen was his mother and her story was used as ‘propagada’ against the wise women during the 1600’s, when the witch hunts were like wild fire through Europe. Sian has reclaimed her story for her and all the other wise women that have gone before. Her work is all about connecting people to the land, themselves and each other.
This event is free but you will need to get a ticket as space is limited, this session is not suitable for children.
